About the department:
The Department of Arabic Language and Literature was established at Al-Isra University in 1991 and includes a qualified and distinguished elite of faculty members who cover, with their precise specializations, the fields of knowledge of all Arabic language sciences and literature.

Providing a distinguished educational environment capable of improving society. To teach the Arabic language and literature, and pioneer research and teaching. The department is distinguished by graduating qualified cadres: in science and research, and with literary, linguistic, and critical proficiency, capable of qualifying them, to open up multiple career horizons, achieving diverse outcomes needed by the labor market, and capable of proving themselves in the fields of: media, teaching, linguistic drafting and proofreading, and text creation.
Objectives:
1- Graduating specialists in Arabic language and literature, equipped with linguistic and literary skills.
2- Holding seminars, conferences and activities; To enrich and enrich the language.
3- Encouraging scientific research in the Arabic language and literature.
4- Strengthening communication with the local community.
5- Encouraging communication with the Arab Library.
Outputs:
1- Writing the text and reading it correctly with grammar, morphology, and sound.
2- Mastering linguistic and communication skills in reading, writing and speaking.
3- Study literature (poetry and prose) and analyze it critically.
4- Mastering rhetorical, semantic and terminological skills.
6- Participation in seminars, conferences and activities.
7- Writing scientific research according to a sound method.
8- Communicate with local community institutions concerned with the Arabic language and literature.
9- Enhancing the student’s communication with sources and references in the Arabic language and literature.
Study program:
Bachelor’s (135 credit hours). Master’s degree (33 credit hours)
